Bob came out to Orcutt one time to spend the weekend with me.  One of our (Orcutt guys) games was to take my '37 Pontiac up to the top of Orcutt Hill and blindfold the driver.  He had to drive back down the 3 miles of swithbacks and hairpin turns to the bottom with the guy behind him telling him when to turn and which direction.  When I saw Bob at the 40th, the first thing he told me was that he finally had to 'fess up.  He had been scared to death and was afraid to come back out thinking he might have to do that again.  Very funny (and dumb).  I miss the guy, we were great friends.

Bob and I had several classes together.  He was so good looking and friendly in his quiet way.  I loved his smile.  Sharon Forrest Black

I went to school with Bob from Kindergarten I think. My best memory is at one of the class reunions when he walked over to me and said hi. I had no idea who he was. Had not seen him since high school and a 17 year old kid sure looks different as a grown man. He knew I did not have any idea who is was and smiled and told me. I was so shocked. He was always a very nice person with a sweet smile.

One of my first dates in high school was with Robert.  He had asked me to the movies and I was so nervous to be asked out by him that I broke out in hives on my throat and chest. I can still remember trying not to scratch while sitting in the theater.  He was a perfect gentleman.  So sorry to learn he is not with us.
