Dottie was one of the cutest, sweetest girls in our class. She had that shimmering blond hair that was cut so cute, big blue eyes, and beautiful smile. She would have been hard to like if she hadn't been so nice! It seems so natural that she should be at our reunions that I almost find myself looking around for her.
It is hard to believe that Dottie isn't among us anymore. I'm sorry that she isn't as she always seemed to add a quiet, positive presence whenever she was around. In a way - she was sort of a role model to me because even though she was beautiful and intelligent and seemed to easily achieve Valedictorian - she appeared humble and unassuming. I don't remember a single negative comment from her which stood out among all the normal high school girl gossip! (and we did our share!) She was a lovely and sparkling soul and I will miss her - but it is heaven's gain!!
