Jack grew up in Los Alamos. He attended Santa Ynez High School, transferring to SMHS in his senior year. He went into the Army after graduation, assigned to Army Security Agency, stationed primarily in Okinawa and Japan. He also served in Vietnam. After returning home he married Cathy Grabil from Nipomo. They had one son. They moved to San Leandro where he established a vending machine business that serviced the “Bay Area”. He business name was “Coffee Nuts”. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Cathy passed away late 70’s or early 80’s. Jack passed away September, 1998 from a heart attack.
